Pork-N-Ride 2020

I am so glad that we went on this ride. We got to see the new Blind Lake Connector that the club that we are a part of – Over the Hills Gang – have been working on for years. It’s a beautiful trail that opens in the Fall of 2021 and I can’t wait to go riding on it more once it’s open. There are some cool parts of the trail – one being a really curvy part through the woods. There’s a bridge over a lake that has a beaver dam on it. That’s where the club is going to put their selfie booth and they used the first picture in the slide show to promote. I love taking pictures and am grateful that the club loves them and that they can use them to help promote their club.

The nice thing about the Pork-N-Ride is that there are so many people that attend that they offer a bunch of different rides. They like to keep these rides to around 25 machines. This way everyone can stay together, we don’t lose people and it makes for a smoother riding experience for everyone – including the leader.

We have another one scheduled in June this year and I’ll post pictures and tell you all about it after the ride. I got to help the club with the logo this year so they can make t-shirts to help raise money for the club.

It’s always fun to go on rides with the Over the Hills Gang. They have such a wonder group of volunteers that make every event so much fun. It’s always organized and starts on time. The weather on this day was perfect and the leaves were beautiful. We were with a great group of people and got to explore different parts of the new trail. There was some riding on some dirt roads to get to certain spots on this particular ride – it was an awesome day and amazing ride.

We made a couple of different stops that day and my favorite part was the trivia that the club president threw out at a resort on the trails. I learned a lot about the area and why the lakes were named what they were. He had some many interesting facts about the area – if you ever attend this ride hopefully you will get to spend some time with Perry May.

We also stopped by Angell’s Hideaway Resort and it happened to be their end of season party that they throw for all of their residents. They were so awesome and let us all fill up on all of the amazing food they put together for their residents. I’ve heard so many great things about this place – especially their breakfast – so I’m excited to swing by there this year.

We have another Pork-N-Ride coming up in June and my husband is going to be leading one of the rides. I’ll post pictures soo and let you all know how it goes!
